    Le  père Damien Diouf a animé à Bambili une session  avec les candidats au noviciat international de Davao : Christopher AKONGNWI , Kenneth AKUA et Narcisse  MBENA sur le thème : Connaissance de soi et du Charisme Mariste. Les matinées étaient réservées aux exposés et comptes rendus des lectures et les après midi aux visites dans les villages des candidats et aux communautés des frères Maristes dans la sous région (A Bafut et à Mbengui). Voici leurs impressions :

Christopher AKONGNWI is my name.

« Self Knowledge » and « Marist Mission in the North- West Region”, themes of our session in Bambili, gave me the appetite and the essence of my new Marist family.

Intellectual and practical work, experiences in other Marist branches constituted this taste. Ah! I have got the taste of novitiate before the novitiate.

My morale now is nothing else than the “Yes” and the availability of our Mother and Perpetual Superior Mary.

Available and ready to pass from the spectatorship to an actor that is from petulancy to the initiation to the Marist spirit: novitiate
Je m’appelle  MBENA Narcisse

Aujourd’hui, je pense que pour mieux embrasser sa vocation, il faut d’abord apprendre à  se connaître soi- même, son corps, son âme  et son esprit, sur le plan biologique, psychologique et sociologique.

J’ai étais touché par la dimension physique et biologique de la Connaissance de soi dans les exposées que j’ai trouvées très précieux. J’en suis heureux et satisfait en attendant la réponse d’entrée au noviciat.

Pour moi c’est une rencontre avec la Vierge Marie qui m’invite à regardé le monde  et la vie comme Elle et à me mettre au service de son Fils.

Njong  AKUA Kenneth , is my name.

Time has come for life to take another dimension which is no other aspect than the preparation to taste and live the spirituality and charism of the priests and brothers of the Society of Mary.

In fact a session was organized in one of the Marist communities in the North West region of Cameroun precisely in Bambili on self knowledge and Marist Mission.

In addition to this, were other aspects of Marist life such as, an introduction to novitiate in the Marist Constitution and Canon Law and the life of Marist missions in North West Cameroon.

This session was very enriching giving that it enabled me to better know myself and the needs and demands of missionary life, and to understand what novitiate is all about.

Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, our first and perpetual Superior, I pray that the sentiments of Christ may be mine, for the greater glory of God and in her honour.
