The Lay Marist in our Lady of Fatima Parish Bambili in Cameroon |
The LAY MARIST GROUP in our Lady of Fatima Parish in Bambili is 5 years old. Since its existence, the group has been carrying out several activities in the parish and out of the parish. Thiers activities range from pastoral care in the parish and reach out in, and out of the parish. Every first Saturday of the month, they reach out to the needy, the old, and the lonely and the disabled of the parish. Once every year they reach out to the prisoners, street children and to the orphans out of the parish, with food items, soap, clothing, money and other needs. For the past years they struggled by running small scale poultry to add to the individual contributions in order to raise funds for these reach outs. They have taken full responsibility for the daughter of a cripple in the parish. Spiritually they have 2 recollections and a three days retreat every year. They make Novena prayers through the Marists saints.
